Whenever I see my inspirations start to feed into my music, I write them up here so other people can see what I'm drawing from.

Stop what you're doing and listen to this song. Then listen to it again. I'd tell you to do it again, but I'm sure that you would listen again even if I didn't. It's sooooo gorgeous and melancholy.

The baseline is so groovy my GOD. The whole song is centered around one repeating baseline. How does that even work?

Xenoblade Chronicles has some of the most beautiful and original music that I've heard in a video game over the past few years. Many times I have simply remained on the title screen to let this main theme play out at least once before I even had the heart to hit the Start button. In all honesty, Xenoblade is the only game that still brings me back to the Wii from time to time.

I totally agree! To be completely honest, I haven't even played the game, but I heard somewhere that the soundtrack was great so I got it, and it was. The main theme always knocks me off my feet, but a lot of the other stuff is really fantastic too.
