this one has such a nice wistful vibe to it, accentuated a lot by the sighing synths at 0:18 and the beautiful solo starting at 0:48.

i can see why you chose it as your first upload now... but i still think you should upload serene too ;-)

another excellent trax - a great switch up from your previous style, but the two could fit very nice on the same album =)

Thanks, John! I was back and forth on whether or not I should include that in the second verse and ultimately decided to leave it out to give it some more space, but maybe I should've left it. Funny that you brought it up because I thought about it a lot. Good luck this round! Next song will be even DIFFERENTER

Whoops, I forgot it has a percussion.

Any tips to humanize the piano more? One of my problems is understanding the note placement according to the real hand position, because I have zero experience on playing a real piano or synth. :(

Thoughts I had while listening to your piece:

- the quality of that vocal sample is amazing. Where did you get it?
- the drops are really impressive, but eventually become too repetitive. this is your biggest downfall; this piece would have been AMAZING with less repetition.
- that little highpitched vocal thing in the drops is amazing, but repeated too much.
- the solo at 2:10 is too obviously quantized.
- the second drop should have more variation rather than sounding a lot like the first.

the ending of this track (last 1.5 minutes) is absolutely beautiful. if you would have focused on that rather than the cinematic stuff (which is okay but not as good) i think this would have been super awesome. as it is, it's still pretty awesome.

ugh this is really good but the vocal treatment bothers me, it seems like you did some sort of funky vocal processing that makes them sound weird! other than that, it's great - the acoustic guitar, the melodies, there's lots to like!

Oh, I treated the crap out of the vocals. I wanted to sounds slightly...off. Not quite human. There was a reason for it!
