I made it in 72 hours as part of Ludum Dare. I made all the graphics, art, and did all the code over last weekend. :)

I don't mean to sound cynical but goddamn am i tired of pixel game.
Well as soon as they develop a new way to display visuals on screens I will be all over that.
Looks cool. But aren't Ludum Dare games supposed to have 8 bit music? Or am I just thinking wrong?
Haha, nah! Though a lot of them do end up having 8 bit music, either for that retro appeal, or because they (misguidedly ;-)) think it's easier.
There isn't any limit to your talent, is there Johnfn? :D I'll check it out when I have the time...also, when I read "hmm...well, some guy told me that dance had repetitive melodies, soooooo" I lol'd so hard! XD What sort of idiot would tell you that? Oh, right...me! :3 In all seriousness, though, I think dance music often has other engaging elements besides a main melody which keep it interesting, even if there is only one melody throughout the track. Anyway, my school actually spent a mandatory 1-hour period in math class learning about coding just last week! When/where did you learn? And...graphics/art too? You're a machine, Johnfn! :D NG just has a lot of cosmopolitan and widely-experienced members, I guess. You should post your artwork more often. I'm not very active on the art portal, but that could change! XD Oh, and if you don't mind my asking, what do you do for a living so that you have all this free time to make a game in 3 days?! I have a friend who goes by "Hamedn" (look up "Gravinaytor") and he tells me that it takes him months to make his games! :O It looks like it turned out great, btw! Wow, I'm just blown away...

I actually took all your advice and applied it towards my next song, but I ended up liking it a lot so I'm reserving it for the audio portal secret santa event :) It'll come out on Christmas.
Coding is a REALLY fun thing. I was mostly self taught. Heck I started at about your age heheh, I bought some book about it and read through it. Now though the internet itself is a great resource to learn. I would really recommend you check it out. If you want any resources or anything, just let me know.

Oh gosh I don't really do any art except gamey pixelated things, and they are not usually too spectacular. I feel I got pretty lucky on how the graphics in this game turned out. You should see some of the crap I've made. haha
Game dev IS a long process. One of the things I really like about Ludum Dare (which is the event I made the game for) is that it forces you to make a game really quick, which certainly wouldn't happen otherwise. Aside from this I have a bunch of unfinished projects that I've spent ages on...

Hahah. I'm actually currently a TA for a computer science class at college. It means I get a lot of free time, though it pays virtually nil. Soon I'll be moving to an actual job, which means no more free time ;.;

XD I was the one who told you about the repetitive BEATS, not melodies...but we did make those comments on the same song of yours. Last month feels like such a long time ago...I need this vacation next week! XD Anyway, I hope I didn't offend BO, as his advice is just as valid as mine, if not more, and I agree with it completely. My earlier remark was solely for comedic purposes.

Common, you can't be that bad, you've already figured out your way around FL studio. You may not believe it but that makes you quite special. A couple of my college friends wanted to learn how to write music in FL studio and even with my help they eventually gave up. And they were pretty smart people.
I honestly think that programming is easier than writing music.

Haha, computer science is the major to be! :) Also, Step and I have decided that we are the exact same person - on the grounds that we agree on literally everything - so it really isn't that big of a surprise ;-)
