its cool. i think it needs a bit more instruction but don't use copyright music from a video game

Jun. 24, 2009 | 3:31 PM johnfn responds:

it's actually not copyrighted! the music is a very nice track by paragonX9. I will have credits ingame.

Jun. 24, 2009 | 3:28 PM Mattymace666 says:

Jun. 24, 2009 | 3:28 PM VNStudios says:

You should probably take out the right-click menu

Jun. 24, 2009 | 3:32 PM johnfn responds:

oh, good call. I'll do that right away.

Jun. 24, 2009 | 3:32 PM PIED3 says:

It's fun, but the whole idea of controlling 2 at once doesnt work, your either looking at one or the other, and one normally ends up failing early on and then you just play with one like any other game, fun none the less but...

Jun. 24, 2009 | 3:35 PM johnfn responds:

i've been trying to figure this out for a while actually. hmm, if you have any suggestions, do let me know...

Jun. 24, 2009 | 3:36 PM DrackMaster says:

Jun. 24, 2009 | 3:46 PM johnfn responds:

Jun. 24, 2009 | 3:55 PM Torotuo says:

Jun. 24, 2009 | 4:01 PM johnfn responds:

Thank you! if you want, I could PM you when it does or something. But it'll definitely be within the next week.

Jun. 24, 2009 | 4:10 PM Sonny-Jim says:

Quite a nice little game, Mouse controls not as responsive as I'd hoped but still nice mate looking forward to seeing the final ;)

Jun. 24, 2009 | 4:14 PM johnfn responds:

Heh, I never use the mouse controls, so I don't notice these things. You have a great point. I'm fixing this right now!

Jun. 24, 2009 | 4:20 PM Fautzo says:

It goes to 100% and doesn't play, even with right clicking forward and play and stuff.

Jun. 24, 2009 | 4:36 PM johnfn responds:

this is mochiads fault, but i promise if you keep waiting it will play.

Jun. 24, 2009 | 4:45 PM Supadood says:

Good Simple Topic.
uhh way too easy tho lol i managed to beat ur insane mode with one ball.
more importantly ur levels 9 and 10 are the exact same lol

Jun. 24, 2009 | 5:00 PM GodlyManYuri says:

Make the mouse tip the center of the ball. Right now it is as if the ball were a square and the mouse tip were at the upper left edge. Besides that nothing bad. It's very difficult to track both balls and you score on top (ball1?) disappears behind the background, which isn't bad. It sort of makes you wait to see what you have from level to level. 10 as a game, 7 for entertainment.

Jun. 24, 2009 | 5:02 PM Gamegod-Unleashed says:

I think the beta played really well, my only theory on a way to solve the problem of playing 2 at a time is if you flipped the level Vertically and played it with the level scrolling down, this way the human eye doesn't have to focus on one side or another, and you could do cool reflection pictures to make it more visually appealing. Just a thought. Fantastic beta.

Jun. 24, 2009 | 7:04 PM johnfn responds:

Wow, you are awesome. The only problem is that I would have to redo just about everything. I'll probably release a Tasker 2 in the future - if I do, your name will definitely be in the credits!

Jun. 24, 2009 | 6:13 PM crazincraz says:

ii give it a 8 .-. i thought it was ok

Jun. 24, 2009 | 7:39 PM Gojiralph says:

I think it was good, you really had to be on your toes at all times, though there was something lacking from it, I dunno, some kind of spark or pizazz, however you wanna describe it. Something that grabs you by the balls and shouts 'LOOK AT ME I AM AN AWESOME GAME!' I couldn't tell you what that is though, sorry. The actual gameplay element is good though, it gives your reflexes a good workout :)

Jun. 24, 2009 | 7:44 PM johnfn responds:

Dang, now if only I could find that missing element! What, should I add hyperactive powerups or something?

Jun. 24, 2009 | 8:09 PM Gojiralph says:

I'm sure people like crazy explosions and stuff. When you die I guess you could die kinda more spectacularly than you do atm and I think more sound effects are needed to make it more exciting. Hyperactive powerups could help yeah, they could be a help or a hindrance, just to make it even more frantic and attention-grabbing!

Jun. 24, 2009 | 9:10 PM Yrtnej says:

Maybe if you added some more eye-catching backgrounds and objects, it would be more visually-appealing. Possibly you could do a different song every five or ten levels, it would make it a bit more interesting.

Also, you need a pause button (I know that if you click the screen, but I mean a pause BUTTON). Maybe you could switch controls from keyboard to mouse there, too? Because there's no way to change it (as far as I know) once you start playing, unless you die.

Jun. 24, 2009 | 10:18 PM johnfn responds:

ESC is a pause button! I didn't really specify this, mainly because I suck. haha. The switching controls is a really good idea, though.

You have a great point about graphics as well - i just wish I could do them decently :P

Jun. 24, 2009 | 9:52 PM a-guy-with-no-life says:

It's fun and silly. Good job.

I suggest making a reason for us to want to use both circle.
Some ideas:
1) Score caps for 1 circle use. EX: Death of a circle means score can only add on X points afterward.
2) Increase the speed when a death of a circle occurs.
3) Remove the ability to use 1 circle only.
4) Increase X amounts and decrease multiplier increase amounts upon death of a circle.

Jun. 24, 2009 | 10:14 PM johnfn responds:

My current reason is that it triples (!) the score that you get with both balls. I should probably make that more obvious, heh.

Jun. 25, 2009 | 12:11 AM Regularjoe says:

The game was pretty nice. The game plays a little like tower of greed.
Here are some random suggestions:

-Add a bunch more obstacle-zone things. I got the same ones over and over.

-Try making the warning signs pop out instead of just being fixed in the background, Mausland style. In fact, the whole game could use a little more Mausland-style pizazz.

-Improve the font of the signs, the scoreboard, and the end score.

-Make the balls cooler looking, and make them explode when destroyed.

-Create a "revive" power up, that lets you revive the other ball. Don't make them too rare, but make them risky to get.

-Multiplier down obstacles. Not as bad as instant death, but still worth dodging.

-Make it so you can still see your multiplier and score when ball two dies.

-Level checkpoints (you get a wider variety of obstacles as the level goes up, right?)

-Achievements.

Jun. 25, 2009 | 1:55 AM Dachampster says:

Not good at all, man.
It was kinda boring and stuff.

Sorry...

Try adding only one ball or having different controls for each ball.

Jun. 25, 2009 | 5:22 AM Abuelodigital17 says:

Not bad. It was entertaining and challenging. The only problem is that it's very difficult to control the two balls at the same time.
You could add some different power ups, a power up that increases the ball speed or a power up that allows you to go though walls would be nice. I have a few crazy ideas for powerups or traps, PM me if you're interested.
Anyway, looks like everything works fine, I didn't find any bugs.
I have another suggestion, when the game is finished ( you have added all the stuff you wanted, fixed the bugs if there are any, etc) you could make the graphics a little more detailed to make the game more visually appaling. i hope you finish this soon, I'd like to play the final product. Good luck.
